What a darling! I had so much fun shooting Baby Raffi and his mum in Cardiff. It was a session of multicolours, squeaky toys and lots of smiles! Mum and I scheduled his session around his nap and feeding times which worked perfectly for little Raffi. We were lucky to be granted a beautiful winters morning and the front room was flooded with beautiful light for Raffi to play in Mum’s chair.
We played with a number of setups with mum who welcomed giving extra kisses and hugs. Mum was also a great help and getting Raffi to laugh in hysterics on demand with songs and his favourite toys. Raffi’s face is full of such character I couldn’t help beaming behind the lens at his infectious laughter. 5/6 months is a perfect age to start capturing the little characters that are starting to develop.

As Raffi is 5 months, the home environment was the best option for us to work in as he’s just learning to sit up on his own and we really weren’t too sure how the South Wales weather would hold up for us if we were to venture out!
Being at home allowed us to have full range of different rooms, lighting, and access to toys and props! It also allowed me to capture Raffi in his own home environment which adds to the memory of the images. I had the added bonus of Raffi being an incredibly happy baby and…THOSE EYES!!!
It’s what I love most about intimate family shoots – capturing the personalities and emotions of little ones and parents for them to cherish. Raffi was a pleasure to shoot – it could have be raining and his little face would still have been shining!
